I am sure that you have heard that my daughter is fundraising to help just get me to the JuST Conference. This cause is very important to me because both my and subsequently my daughter's recoveries from a life of exploitation and trauma provides a face and a story that can lead to real change. To make that change we must be as empowered as possible. We can on accomplish this through education. networking and prayer. We need to stand by the conference's motto "each person has a role to play in preventing and ending commercial sexual exploitation, and that a collaborative community response is critical."
I’m encouraged by the support I’ve already received, but I still need help reaching my fundraising goal of $1500. This fight *is* dangerous… I have been threatened… I have been assaulted (thus the walker)… and I have lost colleagues to violence from those who are exploiting these women. It is dangerous, yes, but it is worth laying down my life to see Jesus Christ redeem these girls’ lives because Jesus laid down His life for mine. Education and networking with other service providers empowers us in this war.
I’m not asking you to lay down your life for this cause, but would you be willing you lay down $5, $20, $100 to help give a new life to someone who has the courage to hope and reach out for it? Partner with me in what God is doing to renew and restore hope in these girls’ lives. Just help Get me to the JuST Conference. Cincinnati, Ohio Oct 14-17
It would also mean a lot if you could share my fundraiser link on social media. The more exposure I get, the faster I will reach my fundraising goal.
I’d love to talk to you in person about my fundraiser, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
